Janelle Coates Principal Optometrist
Janelle Coates is our optometrist, with over twenty-five years post-graduate experience. Janelle graduated from the University of New South Wales with first class honours, winning four final year university prizes for clinical optometry and research, also being named the Faculty Scholar. In March 2012 she graduated from the University of New South Wales with a second degree in optometry, an additional qualification which allows her to prescribe topical medications for infectious and inflammatory eye disease, plus co-manage glaucoma care with ophthalmologists. Janelle is a Sydney girl originally but has spent over twenty years of her life in Bunbury and wouldn’t live anywhere else with her family.
Janelle is a member of Optometry Australia, the Australian College of Optometry and the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia. Every year she attends conferences across Australia and internationally, to learn about the latest in technology, research and clinical practice. Janelle believes that your eyes are your most precious sense and she enjoys making your vision the very best it can be. When Janelle is not at work you’ll find her spending time with her family, trying to keep fit, exploring the South-West and enjoying the arts.
Rachel Brockless Optical Dispenser
Rachel is our Team Leader and is also the EyesWest frame and sunglass buyer. Rachel has over twenty-five years of optical dispensing experience and has the expertise to help you see and look your best. She enjoys being a leader in her field, attending optical exhibitions and completing further studies.
Aside from being an expert at what she does, Rachel is unfailingly friendly and welcoming, and she will always recommend the right frames and sunglasses to complement your appearance and your personality. Rachel is a Yorkshire girl but proudly calls Australia home with her lovely family. When she’s not at work you’ll find her horse-riding!
Jill, Jenny and Julie each have many years of experience working in optometry and medical practice. Each of us here has the expertise to help select eyewear to enhance your appearance and optimise your vision.
